Top 5 Luxury Hotels

Dubai is known for its extraordinary luxury hotels that pamper guests with tony rooms, refined international food and extra-special amenities.
luxury-dubai-hotelsBurj Al Arab
The Burj Al Arab is a knockout from first glance with an unusual design that is built to look like a giant billowing sail reaching over 1,000 feet into the air. Come sundown, the hotel's exterior is aglow with a light show that moves across the sail-shaped structures. The hotel's interior is equally impressive with luxurious 2-floor suites. The Royal Suite is the most opulent and features a towering 4-poster canopy bed on a rotating pedestal and a staircase built from marble and gold. Each floor of the hotel has its own reception desk and team of butlers ready to assist you with requests, whether that's a chauffeured Rolls Royce to tour the town or reservations for a seafood feast of Caspian caviar, Tasmanian salmon with foie gras and grilled Atlantic lobster at the on-site restaurant Mahara.
Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara
In the midst of the world's largest uninterrupted sand desert, the Qasr Al Sarab is a like a dreamy luxurious mirage providing a palatial retreat in the Empty Quarter of the Liwa Desert. Rooms are decked out in subdued earth tones with intricate mosaics and jewel-encrusted accessories. All rooms have views of the expansive desert, but the Deluxe Terrace rooms have the best, with wide terraces overlooking the sandy dunes. Sample fine Middle Eastern foods at the 4 restaurants, including the all-day buffets and cooking stations at Al Waha. The free-form pool is a welcome respite from the hot desert sun, as is the spa where ancient elixirs get a modern update with a floral foot bath, Thai herbal compress massage or a detoxifying green tea scrub.
Shangri-La Hotel
In a city that strives to be over-the-top, the Shangri-La offers first-class luxury in a more restrained and very refined setting. There are 302 guest rooms with deep soaking tubs, rain showers and warm décor with sleek lines and local artwork. The signature restaurant, Shang Palace, serves high-end Cantonese specialties while Marrakech serves contemporary Moroccan cuisine in a bright and airy courtyard. Loungers circle the curved swimming pool where guests can relax after a game of squash or a workout in the fully equipped fitness center. And the hotel's location on the storied Sheikh Zayed Road puts it right in the center of Dubai's action with shopping, entertainment and wild skyscrapers just a few blocks away.
Al Qasr
Al Qasr translates to "the Palace," and its posh, classical architecture and ornate embellishments are designed to invoke the feelings of an upscale Sheikh's summer residence. Al Qasr is part of the larger Madinat Jumeirah resort complex with sprawling facilities and a gorgeous stretch of sand at Jumeirah beach. There are 292 guest rooms decorated with classic Arabic flair and private patios, many with perfect ocean views. Hotel guests have full reign over the resort facilities including an impressive health club with a 25-meter indoor lap pool, water sports on the beach, a decadent spa and, for the youngest guests, Sinbad's Kids Club and water-park fun at Wild Wadi.
Bab Al Shams
Plan a romantic Arabian getaway at the intimate Bab Al Shams, a desert retreat just outside of Dubai. Even though there are just 113 rooms, the hotel has all of the amenities of a larger resort with 8 restaurants and bars, a stellar spa and 3 swimming pools. Rooms look out over the vast desert or perfectly landscaped gardens, while suites also boast private sun terraces. The signature restaurant, Al Hadheerah, is an open-air dining extravaganza that resembles a classic Arabic market with a bevy of belly dancers, roaming henna artists, live music and even falcon displays. Put the perfect end to your Arabian nights with a cocktail at the rooftop Al Sarab lounge with spectacular desert views and Shisha, or hookah pipes, with a variety of flavors.

Spy photos from Corvette

The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is heading to dealerships now, which means it's a perfect time to start salivating over the prospect of an even more extreme take on an American classic: The 2015 Corvette Z06. These spy photos give us a hint at what to expect when Chevy gets around to announcing the car.

From the look of it, the next Z06, which some sources suggest may be called the Z07, will be even meaner looking than the base Stingray. Despite the heavy black camouflage wrapper at the front and rear of the car, it looks like the front fascia is getting reworked -- and covering up the new vent just ahead of the rear wheel well would have defeated its purpose, so we get a good look at it.

Smart has revealed its newest concept car

Smart has revealed its newest concept car, the jovial four-seater Forjoy. The "joy" part of that sobriquet is rather obvious – with the doorless, roofless, rear-glass-free concept looking like a beach-wagon full of fun – but it's the four seats that might prove most prescient as far as Smart's future plans are concerned.

The German small-car maker goes as far as to call the Forjoy "the forerunner of a new smart generation" in its press release, saying that the concept car's proportions portend a lot about the appearance of a four-seat production car. That upcoming Forfour (most likely) should get an official launch at the end of 2014.

Of course, while there might be some production-car cues hiding in this wispy, white and pearlescent concept buggy, the detailing of it can be safely categorized as "concept car only." Polished bits of milled aluminum brightwork are shiny flights of fancy, as is the modern minimalist furniture that ornaments the airy cabin.

On the other hand, the powertrain inside of the Forjoy, a 55-kilowatt electric motor drawing from a lithium-ion battery pack, has been scooped directly out of the production Fortwo Electric Drive. Other than its existence in the concept car, Smart hasn't dropped any hints in the press release as to the ED unit making into a production Forfour. We certainly wouldn't rule it out as a variant.

Look for live images and more info about Smart's hint-heavy Forjoy when we see it on the Frankfurt show floor next week.

Ford's new 'active park assist' makes Parallel parking a Breeze for Lincoln MKT and MKS owners

Ford's new 'active park assist' makes Parallel parking a Breeze for Lincoln MKT and MKS owners

"With the touch of a button, Lincoln MKS and MKT drivers can parallel park quickly, easily and safely without ever touching the steering wheel," said Derrick Kuzak, Ford's group vice president of Global
Product Development. "This is another example of exclusive Ford smart technology, such as Ford SYNC, that makes the driving experience easier and more enjoyable for our customers."

Admit it, you've embarrassed yourself at some point trying to parallel park. It's like they say about drivers at Indianapolis: There are those who have hit the wall, and those who will. The same principle applies when it comes to parallel parking. Like an increasing number of automakers, Ford is moving beyond the realm of auto-dip side mirrors and into the realm of auto parking systems. The Blue Oval's new Active Park Assist will initially be available on the Lincoln MKS and MKT (about which you'll hear much more on January 12) next summer.

The system takes advantage of the ultrasonic sensors now mounted on the corners of many vehicles (used for backup warning, blind spot detection and other functions), and combines them with a new electric power assisted steering setup. The system can manipulate the steering automatically and the sensors detect where the vehicle is relative to other vehicles. It starts off by using the sensors to measure the distance between cars to determine if there is enough space, and then it operates the steering, instructing the driver when to shift into Drive or Reverse and press the gas or brake. Ford claims the system works much more reliably than the camera-based system used by Lexus. We had no luck with the Lexus system, so we'll be the judge of how well Ford's setup works. Follow the jump to read Ford's official press release.

Gull-wing door or French they are portes papillon, do you remember this ones ?

Gull-wing door (GermanFlügeltüren) is an automotive industry term describing car doorsthat are hinged at the roof rather than the side, as pioneered by the 1952 Mercedes-Benz 300SL race car (W194) and its road-legal version (W198) introduced in 1954.
Opening upwards, the doors evoke the image of a seagull's wings. In French they are portes papillon (butterfly doors). The papillon door, slightly different in its architecture from a gullwing door – which Jean Bugatti designed in 1939, fourteen years before Mercedes-Benz produced its similar, famous 300SL gullwing door – is a pre-
cursor, but is often overlooked when discussing "Gull-wing" design. Conventional car doors are typically hinged at the front-facing edge of the door and the door swings outward in a horizontal plane.

This same doors we got it here in American Limousine Sales that aloud you to have a comfortable entrance to our limousines check the photos and our web pages, because is not only luxury is a history too.
We only got the best quality in our products and parts.
Gull-wing doors have a somewhat questionable reputation because of early examples like the Mercedes and the Bricklin. The 300 SL needed the door design as its tubular frame race car chassis design had a very high door sill, which in combination with a low roof would make a standard door opening very low and small. The Mercedes engineers solved the problem by also opening a part of the roof. The Bricklin was a more conventionally sized door but the actuation system was problematic in day-to-day use and led to unreliable operation until an aftermarket air-door upgrade was installed in all Bricklins. In addition, there was some concern that in making the doors as light as possible they wouldn't provide adequate protection in side-impact accidents. There was, however, no indication that this concern was justified.
The DeLorean solved these problems by using a solid-steel torsion bar (supplied by Grumman Aircraft Engineering Corporation) to counterbalance a full-sized door and then used simple pneumatic struts similar to those found in hatchback cars to open the doors and damp their movement.

A Legend come to a Life

Today in New York City, Chevrolet shocked the world by introducing the Camaro Z/28 for the 2014 model year. Originally introduced in 1967, Camaro Z/28 was designed specifically to compete in the Sports Car Club of America's Trans-Am 2 class. Lightweight, nimble and incredibly powerful, the original Z/28 was designed ideally for road racing. The 2014 Z/28 carries the same spirit, with every detail engineered specifically to create the ultimate track-capable Camaro

A hand-assembled LS7 engine, the most-powerful normally aspirated regular production small block V8 ever, is the force that propels Camaro Z/28. Highest-quality parts and precision assembly elevates the redline level to 7000 rpm.
Durable, lightweight components such as titanium intake valves and connecting rods coupled with a forged-steel crankshaft make the LS7 engine incredibly robust. The standard 10.5-quart, dry-sump oiling system distributes pressurized oil from an external reservoir to protect vital components under high-g driving conditions.

The LS7 is mated to a TREMEC TR6060 6-speed manual gearbox that features close-ratio gearing - optimized for the engine’s power characteristics. The TREMEC is coupled with a 5.1:1-ratio short-throw shifter to ensure quick and precise feeling shifts

2014 Camaro Z/28 pays homage to the exterior of the original legend while capitalizing on 21st century design elements and technology. Z/28 was born to be a functional instrument for the track, utilizing best practices and influences learned through racing.

Camaro Z/28 has aerodynamic treatments designed to produce downforce — specifically at track speeds. A large splitter connects to an underbody panel to further reduce lift. Fender flares over the front and rear wheels and extended rocker panels contribute to aerodynamic stability. Z/28 also features an aggressive rear spoiler and functional diffuser to complete the fully integrated aerodynamic package.

The Power of Engineering

Over the years the engineering has a big steps in how to do performance and economy, every decade are better and better, but there are a lot to do.
201-hp, 2.4-Liter, 16-Valve, DOHC i-VTEC® Engine

Honda's 2.4-liter, dual-overhead camshaft NP2 engine produces 201 horsepower at 7000 rpm and 170 lb-ft of torque at a low 4400 rpm. Probable this are one the funnest and more buy it brand in the world they got a good fuel economy and a high power, why is that ? is very simple at the 80's and 90's a big muscle car has o most 300 Hp and a big consume of fuel so they was pretty expensive to maintain just because of fuel economy.

VTEC was initially designed to increase the power output of an engine to 100 HP/litre or more while maintaining practicality for use in mass production vehicles. Some later variations of the system were designed solely to provide improvements in fuel efficiency.
